Our aim is to provide our clients with the ultimate in chauffeur hire.
The terms & conditions are set out below.
Standard rate in Central London.
Vehicles are charged at £45.00 per hour
Minimum hire 4 hours, excluding airport transfers and weddings
Minimum hire for as directed in Central London 4 hours
Long distance rate/motorway journeys. Quoted on an individual basis
A reduced rate can be applied for vehicle hire of 2 days or more at the discretion of the management.
Waiting time will be charged after a period of 10 minutes after the arranged collection time.
Waiting time £40.00 per hour in 30 minutes increments.
Mileage allowance. Central London evening hire up to 5 hours 40 miles – 8 hour day hire up to 64 miles.
For every 10 hour booking a charge of £10 will be added for chauffeur refreshments.
A 50% surcharge will be applied for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Airport transfers will be quoted upon request.
Christmas week, surcharges may apply.
A 3% surcharge will be applied for Visa and Mastercard transactions.
Weddings will be quoted on an individual basis – minimum 3 hours
Mileage Allowance and Waiting
Evening hire up to 5 hours 40 miles – Day hire up to 8 hours 64 miles.
Excess miles travelled at the request of the client over the rate quoted will be charged at £2 per mile.
We allow 10 minutes free waiting time over the agreed collection time, after this waiting time will be charged.
If it is necessary for the chauffeur to stay overnight, a charge of from £100 per night, depending on location will be applied.
Airport Pickups and Drop Offs
A £10 charge will be applied to include meet and greet, and waiting time for up to 45 minutes from when the aircraft lands. After 45 minutes, extra waiting and parking charges will apply.
Drop off charges will be added at cost
Extra charges will be made for excess luggage
Eurostar St Pancras International Collections
A charge of £15 will be added to include meet and greet, parking and up to 30 minutes waiting time from when the train arrives. After 30 minutes, extra waiting and parking charges will apply.
Any bookings cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice must be paid in full.
Any bookings cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a 50% payment.
Any bookings cancelled 7 days or more in advance, a full refund will be made.
Bookings of 2 days or more, 7 days’ notice of cancellation is required. A refund can be made less any expenses incurred by Crosswinds Chauffeur Services
For wedding bookings, a deposit will be taken with the balance settled at least 30 days prior to wedding date.
Wedding cancellations’ deposits will be returned provided 30 days’ notice is given. Any cancellations of less than 30 days’ notice, the deposit is non- refundable.
Quotes are valid for 24 hours.
In the event of Crosswinds Chauffeur Services having to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances and an alternative vehicle is not available, a full refund will be given.
Any cancellations by the client, with less than 48 hours’ notice, will incur a £20.00 surcharge.
Deferred deposits are valid for 3 months.
All fares are quoted from a point to point basis.
All bookings, including return trips must be notified in advance.
All bookings must be made direct, including journey details with Crosswinds Chauffeur Services.
All bookings must be confirmed by email.
Full payment by debit or credit card is required for bookings, unless otherwise agreed.
Any hire where a deposit has been paid, the outstanding balance must be paid to the chauffeur on collection.
Any person or persons who do not show for a pre-arranged pick up, full payment will be due.
Any extra payments due (waiting time) over the amount agreed must be settled immediately.
Bookings for events (race meetings, days out, etc) must be paid at time of booking.
Crosswinds Chauffeur Services has the right to refuse a booking.
Private Jet Chauffeur Services
Clients requiring the chauffeur to wait or go airside will incur waiting time after 10 minutes.
When booking please take into account the amount of passengers and luggage. The Mercedes-Benz Vito will hold up to 8 passengers + 8 standard size suitcases, + 3 hand luggage. A reasonable amount of passenger luggage will be carried. If the chauffeur thinks the luggage is excessive, it will not be carried. Any luggage must be stored in the boot/trunk. No luggage can be placed on the seats at any time.
No animals are allowed in our vehicles at any time.
We do not provide child seats, only a booster seat which must be requested at the time of booking to avoid delays.
If a journey is at rush hour time please allow extra time when booking. We cannot be held responsible for any delays caused by road closures, accidents, diversions, traffic holdups, or acts of God.
Any changes to the information provided at the time of booking may incur a charge unless at least 12 hours’ notice is given.
The route taken is at the discretion of the chauffeur. If the client advises the chauffeur to take an alternative route that results in extra miles, extra charges will apply.
If a passenger does not show at the agreed time of collection, waiting time charge will apply.
All journey details including times, amount of passengers and luggage must be confirmed by email in advance. Crosswinds Chauffeur Services cannot be held responsible for any mistakes of information provided at the time of booking.
A charge will be made if the chauffeur has started the journey and the incorrect information has been provided, or an item has been forgotten (passport, tickets, pills etc).
Client/passengers must check at the drop off point that any luggage, computers, mobile phones, etc have not been left behind.
A delivery charge will be made if any items are left in the vehicle and they have to be returned to the client. We cannot be held responsible for items left in the vehicle.
Parking tickets or parking charges obtained at the request of the client asking the chauffeur to wait will be charged at cost.
Any extra waiting time during a journey, a charge will apply. This does not apply to half or full day bookings.
Airport, station or port pickup transfers, 45 minutes free waiting time is included in the price. Any time spent beyond this point, waiting charges will apply in increments of 30 minutes.
Car parking and tolls will be charged at cost.
Wifi is subject to availability
Gratuities are at the client’s discretion.
The chauffeur will drive taking into consideration driving conditions and road safety and will obey traffic regulations at all times.
It is against UK law to smoke in any private hire vehicles.
It is UK law that seatbelts must be worn at all times.
Crosswinds Chauffeur Services reserves the right to terminate the booking at point of pickup or whilst on a journey if there is abusive language or rudeness.
Any client/passenger who behaves in an aggressive manner or appears to be intoxicated will not be tolerated at any time.
The safety of our chauffeur and clients is paramount at all times.
Any physical or verbal abuse of the chauffeur will not be tolerated, termination of the hire will be immediate without compensation to the hirer. Legal proceedings may be implemented
No drinks, alcohol, drugs, or food may be consumed in the vehicle.
The client/passenger will be held responsible for any damage to the vehicle through his/her actions, whether deliberate or accidental.
A charge of £250 plus the journey charge will apply if it is necessary to clean the inside of the vehicle due to vomit or anything else caused by the passenger/passengers.
Any damage caused to the vehicle by opening doors on to any object outside the car, including a post, wall, vehicle, motorbike, or pushbike will be the client/passenger’s responsibility and charged to the client.
Any damage caused to the outside of the vehicle from animals belonging to the client will be assessed and charged to the client accordingly.
A basic first-aid kit is available.
Any situations arising beyond the control of Crosswinds Chauffeur Services may necessitate sub- contracting.
